Translation

Thanks! I hope I did not ruffle too many feathers. You may have seen what I did with Template:Spanish translation. It could use some tweaking, but I would like to write up a little howto document for the Translation template, and then try to get the different translators to use that format.

As far as suggestions, I would just make sure you're on the lookout for duplicate code--especially complex code like that for tables. It is ripe for errors and can be wildly inconsistent. My hope is that the Geni team could come in to a language template like the one above, parse the content, and generate their translation dictionary for that language. If every language is different--especially if the English terms are different--then it becomes a much more time consuming process.

Bugs

Hi Rolando! A user has found a bug in the template/the howto page. Here is a copy of the messsage:

I try to translate GENI into to LANGUAG language. I have a question
 about step 4 in your HowTo
 http://wiki.geni.com/index.php/How_to_create_a_translation_page
 The name of my country is "COUNTRY", the name of my language is
 "LANGUAGE". So in the article "COUNTRY" is used template {{LANGUAGE
 translation}}. In this template is used "{{Translation|LANGUAGE" which
 generates link to the page "LANGUAGE" which doesn't exist.
 But if I use "{{Translation|Template:LANGUAGE translation|" it generates
 right link to template with Czech translation. I think that first
 example is right but doesn't work, and second example works fine but
 it contains a bug.
