Mosconi (literally Big Flies) is an Italian surname, originated in Northern Italy (Lombardia). Near Bergamo there is still a castle that bear the name of the Mosconi family.

A number of Mosconi has emigrated all over the world in the years and some have became notable public figure in the US and in the world (Willy Mosconi and George Moscone are just a couple of examples).
Please do not look for Germano Mosconi, a rather unfortunate example in the family.
