There are 41 departments (department=judet) using names, and they are not numbered.
- Measurements
Romania uses metric system : centimeters to measure somebody's height, and kilograms for weight, for example 170 cm and 60 kg.
- Traditional relationships
Godfather relationship related to a married couple is a tradition and is more like a cousin degree. There is also a godfather relationship related to a newborn which is more like a uncle/aunt degree. It would be great to have this supplemental type of relationships in Geni.
Date Format
Romania uses the date format having the day before the month:
- Day, Month, Year (dd/mm/yy or dd/mm/yyyy)
- Days of the week, starting on monday :
luni, marti, miercuri, joi, vineri, sambata, duminica
- Month of the year, starting in january :
ianuarie, februarie, martie, aprilie, mai, iunie, iulie, august, septembrie, octombrie, noiembrie, decembrie
